[World Heritage] Half-Day Tour of Hiroshima's Four Major Peace and History Landmarks
[World Heritage] Half-Day Tour of Hiroshima's Four Major Peace and History Landmarks
Duration: 4 hours
Experience Hiroshima's rich history, culture, and nature in this comprehensive half-day tour.
The tour begins at the must-see Peace Memorial Park and Museum, followed by a visit to the Atomic Bomb Dome, now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the tragedy of the 1945 atomic bombing and discover how the Japanese people, especially the residents of Hiroshima, have continued to advocate for peace. Accompanied by an English-speaking Japanese guide, you'll gain local insights and perspectives on the events surrounding the bombing and its impact.
Next, you'll walk to Hiroshima Castle, where you can ascend the beautifully reconstructed main tower, rebuilt 66 years after its destruction in the bombing. (Note: The main tower will be closed for renovations due to aging starting in late 2025, so now is the perfect time to visit.)
The tour concludes at the serene Shukkei-en Garden, renowned for its stunning Japanese landscape design.
Discover the deep charm of Hiroshima as you experience its past and present all in one tour.
