The Nihonbashi Kayak Tour is an activity where you can enjoy both nature and urban landscapes right in the heart of Tokyo.

On this tour, you will explore the iconic Nihonbashi River by kayak. Tokyo, formerly known as "Edo" during the Edo period, developed around waterways. The Nihonbashi area, home to both historic buildings and modern business districts, has thrived as a transportation hub since the Edo era. From the water, you'll gain a unique perspective, experiencing the blend of Edo’s remnants with modern-day Tokyo. This tour is gaining attention as a new way to explore Tokyo.

A professional guide will provide careful support, so even beginners can enjoy the tour with confidence. The route covers approximately 5 kilometers.

Please note that the start and end times of the tour vary depending on the tide levels.

Tour Details

You will be joining the Tokyo Great Kayaking Tour, operated by Alive and Kicking Co., Ltd.

Meeting and Dismissal Location: Meet On-Site, Dismiss On-Site

Address: 1-3-2 Shinkawa, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan

The meeting place is a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Kayabacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line and Hibiya Line.

Included in the Tour Fee: Guide fee (English), rental kayak fee, rental personal and flotation device (PFD) fee.

Not Included in the Tour Fee: Transportation to the site, food and drink during the tour, transportation during the tour, and shopping expenses.

*The duration of the experience is 1.5 hours.

*The application deadline is 10 business days before the desired date.

*Number of Participants: The tour requires a minimum of 2 participants and can accommodate up to 10 people. Solo bookings are also accepted.

You may be grouped with other participants. If you prefer a private tour, please indicate this in the remarks section.
The route may be adjusted depending on weather, participants, or seasonal factors. The start and end times of the tour vary depending on the tide. We will inform you of the exact meeting time later.
Since you may get splashed and wet during the kayak tour, please bring a towel.
On the day of the tour, wear comfortable clothes that can get wet. There is also a changing area, so please bring a change of clothes.
On sunny days, it is recommended to bring a hat for sun protection.

The cancellation fee will be applied based on our business days, excluding Sundays and public holidays in Japan.

If you request a date or time change for personal reasons, please note that availability may be limited. In such cases, the cancellation policy will still apply.
