About a 1-hour train ride from Osaka, Naniwa Sake Brewery stands in Hannan City, a charming town surrounded by both mountains and the sea. With over 300 years of history, this long-established brewery has won multiple gold awards at Japan’s most prestigious new sake competitions. Even today, they remain dedicated to traditional handcrafting methods, carefully brewing sake with skill and passion.
On this guided tour, you’ll explore the brewery with the toji (master brewer) and kurabito (brewery workers), learning about their meticulous brewing process using carefully selected water, rice, and yeast. Witnessing the craftsmanship up close offers a deeper understanding of Japanese artisanal spirit and food culture.
After the tour, enjoy a tasting of several sake varieties brewed on-site. Their fruity and smooth flavors are popular even among those new to sake.

Note: This tour is available only from April to September. No tours are held from October to December due to sake brewing in progress.

- Access from Osaka City (Osaka/Umeda area)
- Travel time: Approx. 1 hour
- Take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line from Umeda Station to Namba Station (about 15 minutes)
- Transfer to the Nankai Main Line and get off at Ozaki Station (about 35 minutes by Limited Express)
- Walk about 10 minutes from Ozaki Station
- Travel time: Approx. 40 minutes
- Take the Nankai Main Line from Wakayamashi Station to Ozaki Station (about 22 minutes by Limited Express)
- Walk about 10 minutes from Ozaki Station
- Travel time: Approx. 30 minutes
- Take the Nankai Airport Line to Izumisano Station (about 10 minutes)

- This tour starts and ends at the local meeting point. If you plan to arrive by plane, taxi, or other transportation, please arrange your travel in advance.
